Description
A table or wall lamp, with geometrical metal screens creating light and dark, screened and clear, all enclosed in a square frame: it is both a light object and a lamp. A lighting sculpture with a strong styling connotation to the ‘60s. Structure in white enamelled, folded and welded plate.Ability to mount LED light source E14 (LED light source not included).
The designer Giovanni (called “Gio”) Ponti was born in Milan on 18 November 1891. After a classical schooling, he enrolled in 1913 at the Faculty of Architecture, Milan Polytechnic, but did not graduate until the end of World War One, in 1921. From 1923 until 1938 he worked with the Richard-Ginori ceramics
